Last weekend Steven and I went to visit the Chinese Cultural Center here in Taipei. Neither of us have ever been here, and we thought it would be a nice place to visit.
When we got here I was a little surprised to see an old beat up "Hot Dog on a Stick" sign outside. This just yells Chinese culture. Well, it went downhill from there.
After a $7.50 entrance fee for each of us we walked in (without showing our tickets to anyone, because no one was working in the ticket booth all day.) The first thing you see are two large dinosaurs, and after that you see astroturf, a run down ride and something that looks like the Great Wall of China, but only more run down.
We went through one of the rides where you get on a roller coaster and look at dinosaurs, however the roller coaster was broken so we walked through by foot.
They also happened to be filming a TV show set in China around 300-500 years ago, it looked quite nice but they closed down a few "attractions" to make room for the camera crew.
Well, we left after staying there for 30 minutes, went to Burger King and tried to give away our tickets to a family walking by. They didn’t want to enter the park, so we went back to the ticket booth, complained and got a refund.
You can see all of our excellent photos here.
